David Tank is the creator and visionary that opened Dave’s World in 1995. He sought after his childhood dream of living a surf selling lifestyle on the beach and made the little town of Port Dover his home.
Its immediate response was successful, the stores presence has been a staple in Port Dover providing the locals and tourists with an authentic surf experience. The chill vibe and wave/ sun searching attitudes create a sense of awe within the stores and amongst its staff.
The brands that we carry here at Dave’s World are among the top brands worldwide, our products include, Skimboards, Skateboards, Eyewear, Shoes, Watches, Accessories, Skate/Surf influenced fashion apparel for guys, girls and kids. Dave travels to buy his product and bring the hottest brands to you in this beach town, as a result some of the most famous people have shopped right here in Port Dover !
With Dave’s World’s huge successes he endeavored to open his second location in 2002, further transforming this Port Dover town.
He expanded his merchandise and has never looked back but always maintained that this town was home and that focusing on something great and not spreading yourself too thin was key to being the great business man he is today. People such as Much Music’s producers have ordered product for its shoots as well as movie casts, such as ( Total Recall ) to dress their cast.
Dave has a strong sense of community and is continually helping local charities and their causes. No event is unturned by Dave’s World as they are always enthused to lend a helping hand or spearhead an event to raise spirits and or funds for its causes.
Dave’s World is a family owned and operated company, Dave currently lives in Port Dover and can always be seen in his stores among his Wife, two daughters, and dog Farley.
